The exhibition is composed of two collections of illustrations Salvador Dali made of the literary works, La vida es sueño, and La Divina Comedia. Twenty-seven prints for La vida es sueño were made in 1962 to illustrate Pedro Calderon de la Barca’s theatrical play. As of the 100 illustrations made for La Divina Comedia, recreate the three spaces represented in the text by Dante Alighieri: Inferno, purgatory, and paradise. In addition, a segment has been added with the photographic explorations of Dominican artists whom, through digital and analogic manipulation of their photographs manage to create surreal expressions in their images.
