For her second book, Dominican author Dahiana J. Vásquez S. writes about her road trips in her home country. She really wanted to include an image of her first vehicle which appears almost as a character in most chapters. So I made a freehand, loose line illustration of her white compact SUV driving down a road that spans over both sides of the cover, and accompanied with pre-designed vector images.

The color palette chosen for this project has carried on onto her website and all of her current branding efforts in social media as well.
